Tracen starts school tomorrow...technically he would have started last Tuesday 9/6/11, but we were in Minnesota and when we returned home school was canceled due to the flooding...so his official first day will be tomorrow.  After a lot of back and forth thinking and pros/cons lists, we finally decided that holding Tracen for one more year would be in his best interest.  I was worried about his maturity in comparison to his peers...he is a bit distracted and HATES to sit and write.  He has gotten a lot better over the past few months, but still not where I would like him to be.  I was worried that he would struggle with school for his whole life...and I couldn't live with that.  We got him tested at a local elementary school (thinking it was ours...but it wasn't...ooops!) and he was at grade level...but in talking with them they listened to my concerns and said that if I had any doubt that I wouldn't regret holding him...so we did.  I have been at peace with this decision and the more I see kids that will be in his class...the happier I am with the decision.  I found him a FANTASTIC Pre-K program where he will be with kids his age...all of them having to be 5 by Oct. 1.  There are only 8 kids in his class and 2 teachers!  It will be the best thing for him and I am so excited to see how he grows over this next year!

We love out little Tracen...just the other day, Chris said, we need to write some of his "quirky-ness" down..so here it is and I'm going to try and journal more of it.  He is OBSESSED with his "friend" Emmin...everything we talk about...Emmin has something to add to the situation.  It is quite funny.  But tonight I asked him, "Tracen...is Emmin real or is he in your imagination?"  Tracen said, "Yeah, he is just pretend so that I can have someone to play on my basketball team."  cute right?  He still loves basketball and plays all of the time in the front yard.

Just this weekend he started riding his bike all the way around the block.  We live at the top of a hill so the first part of his ride is downhill...fun! and the second part is a rather steep uphill...the first few times he had to walk his bike...but he has gotten a hold of it and is a lot better...but he said that it hurts his legs...welcome to sore muscles buddy :)

Logan is getting so BIG!  I can't believe it.  He really doesn't look like this little guy in this picture anymore..aside from his rather large head...he is really thinning out and looking like a little boy (wipe a tear).   Logan is our little lovie....he is such a sweet heart and has the biggest heart.  He loves his big brother and they play so good together!  I think that Log is going to be super sad when he doesn't have Tracen to play with at the gym.

Logan is our thinker...he doesn't get tricked very easy and is able to analyze things...it's amazing.  So, I'm not sure if I shared this, but the other night at dinner we were trying to get Logan to eat some food and he was having none of it.  Chris was able to get Tracen to eat one more bite by saying...uh-oh Tray, I'm going to eat all your food if you don't come get one last bite....Tracen came and took a bite and all was happy.  So Chris tried to do the same to Logan..."watch out Logan, Daddy's going to eat all of your food..."  Logan looked right at Chris with that...whatever look on his face and said, "Sorry Dad, I don't play those games."  Ha!  Really?  Chris and I about died...did he really just figure out our trick?  NO WAY!!!

Logan loves babies...we got to visit my sister, Amanda and her sweet Peyton and he still talks about him.  He also loves baby Beth, who is the baby sister to the Max, Ben and Annie mentioned above.  He is such a love and I can't imagine life without him :)
