What have U been up to?

pillows!

Before we moved here, I knew that I wanted a fresh new look in our living room...so I hunted. I found the multi-colored floral fabric at World Market and they are actually cloth napkins (as are the blue and green solid). I fell it love with it and it became my inspirations. The original thought was to do just plain pillows from these five fabrics...but hence the wheels in my brain started turning and voila! After numerous hours (late @ night of course) and many episodes of Secret Life (my latest addiction) I am complete......

PS. I can't claim the blue and green rectangular ones....those were purchased at World Market as well...so my grand total is 8 pillows!

.....almost. I feel like I need one more pillow so I am thinking a round one...I've never tackled that...so we will see. Maybe this week we will actually get some decorating done...ha!

Logan's photography practice

Logan LOVES to use the camera...in fact I have more than enough self portraits of him to last a lifetime. Every now and then he ventures out and catches some silly faces in our family...

AHH!

not a self-portrait..but cute none-the-less :)

this is handsome daddy....and this is.......

CRAZY CHRIS!

ha ha!

We did some artwork this week...starting with Noah's ark family night projects...nothing spectacular, but he had fun in the mean time...enjoy!

Number Snakes

Home-made PLAYDOH!!! fun fun fun!

Its been about 100 degrees this week with about 80% humidity...bleh!!! It's terrible! So we have had to stay inside a lot and find other fun things to do. If you have any fun ideas, let me know...I'm always looking for fun things to do!

Lake Tobias Safari Park

One of the perks of being a "Resident's Wife" is a group none as PIM (Partner's in Medicine)...once a week they have a play group and once a month they go on a bigger outing. This week we went to Lake Tobias Safari Park and had a great time. We went on an open-air bus ride to see some of the more friendly animals and then we saw some of their other animals. The boys LOVED it!

Tracen and our new friend Grant

This is a Ria (sp?) We learned that with these birds...the female lays the egg and the male nests them and cares for them until they are ready to be by themselves. This one had about 7 babies under its feathers...it was kinda cool :)

Logie feeding the animals!

A baby buffalo!

Texas long-horns

Petting the goats

This was our favorite...the Tiger cooling off in his pool. The boys thought it was hilarious!

We had a fun fun fun day at the park....now we are heading to the DC Zoo on Saturday with Chris :)

Mini Golf with Dad...

Our Saturday Extravaganza!

Right now Chris gets Saturday nights off so we have been trying to take advantage of this time with him :) We headed over to a little Sports Adventure Park and played some mini-golf and some arcade games. We had a blast :) And it didn't hurt much that I beat Chris by 4 strokes. ha!

After mini-golf we headed to red-robin for some yummy hamburgers. Over-all, it was
