First day of Kindergarten & First Grade....Boo-ya!

This year Logan Bear has Mrs. Todd {same teacher as Tray last year} in Room 101.  He was very excited to go to school  He wore a soccer shirt that G-ma Debbie sent.

Tracen is in Mrs. Lenovich's first grad class in Room 102.  He was totally bummed that school is all day, but has since learned to like it.  He loves the chicken nuggets!

 Cute boys!
 Psycho brothers!
Logan wanted me to meet him at the school the first day.  Here he is getting off the bus :)  SO BIG!
Best friends!
Happy school year boys!

We discovered the diving board

In August we went to the Hummelstown pool twice in a week!  And we were in heaven!  The boys jumped off the diving board for the first time and LOVED it!  It may have been a highlight of their summer!
Ready or not! Here I come!

 Cannon Ball!

Mom, I'm totally going to do the high dive.....sike!

Once upon a time...we taveled to Minnesota...

4 months ago!!!...I don't even know if I remember the exact dates...I packed up the car and with the boys in tow {armed with plenty of electronics & treats} and we made our way through 6 states including Pennsylania, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin & Minnesota....sheesh!  about 17 hours of driving later..we got to visit our cousins Peyton & Avery!  Yay!

We visited the little zoo one day.  Tracen LOVES the American Bald Eagle

 We went to a couple of fun parks {this was not the funnest one}

Logan loved holding the baby, he had to fight over her with his mama!  All the kiddos!

We went swimming at a fun fun fun pool

We went to the fair, got to milk a cow {fake} watch pigs being born {kinda gross} stand by some super big tractors and try out fried cheese!  {YUM!}

It was a super fun time!  While we love Hershey, we often wish we were closer to all of our fun cousins!  Sigh....someday!

Drive-ins & Brothers

A couple of times this Summer we have made it to the drive-ins!  How fun is that?  We went Fourth of July weekend and saw Despicable Me 2 but didn't stay for the second movie.  Then a couple of weeks ago, Chris and I took the boys to Turbo and stayed and watched Wolverine!  So much fun!
 The kiddos

The adults (taken by Logan...always great pictures when they are taken by a 5 year old)

This is random, but the other night after putting the boys to bed, Chris and I went downstairs for a few hours to do some work and watch our shows.  When we came up to go to bed, the boys bedroom light was on, and this is what we found in the top bunk of their bed.  Comfy!
The next day I asked them about it, and Tracen told me that Logan was scared, so Tracen let him come sleep with him...how nice is that?  These two really are great brothers and great friends.  I would say about 80 - 90% of the time they like each other and play really well.  They make life really fun.

Currently our favorite Sunday night activity is to play Ultimate Frisbee (youngies verse oldies or blondies verse brownies)  Tracen is quite the athlete and Logan just loves to be outside and keeps everything comical and easy going.  It will be fun to see how these fun little personalities evolve as they get older.

Palmyra & The Hill Cumorah Pageant

One of the most awesome things about living in Hershey is its proximity to so many AMAZING things!  On our list was Palmyra & The Hill Cumorah Pageant.  The boys and I recently finished reading the Book of Mormon & started reading D&C, so I thought it would be even more appropriate and fun to go visit the church history sites and see some of our favorite stories from the Book of Mormon acted out.  So we loaded up the car & dad (its kinda a big deal when Chris can have an entire weekend off...no rounding included) and drove the 5ish hours to Palmyra, NY.

On our way, we stopped at the Martin Harris Farm where some of the translation of the Book of Mormon was done.

Oh man these silly boys.  Its hard being young and cooped up in the car all day!

We then headed to Palmyra for some pizza and let the kids run wild in the Hill Cumorah pageant Stadium.  Two hours before the show began, characters from the show came out and walked among the crowd.  We stopped MANY of them and got our pictures taken.  Tracen was a little too busy playing frisbee to join in this fun, but Logan loved it!

Some Nephite warriors.  Logan was stoked to wear his hat!

We found Lehi!  How cool is that?
The opening scene!  Holy smokes!  It was so fun and so amazing.  We want to go again with Grandpa Steve, summer 2015!

Sunday we headed to church, then went and visited the Smith Farm & the Sacred Grove

 Inside the Sacred Grove
While we were in the sacred grove, we found a quiet place and talked to the boys and the First Vision.  Then sweet Logan said a prayer for our family.  It was a sweet moment.

Finally we went to the Palmyra Temple.  It is a small temple designed exactly like Reno's!  We were told that its the only temple where inside the Celestial Room you can see out to the Sacred Grove (but you can't see in).  How amazing would that be!

It was such an amazing weekend!  And as is usual...Logan conked out!
