Boys wil be boys...Journal Entry

I am completely backlogged with my blogging, but in order to add pictures I have to use the other computer...and quite honestly, I am exhausted today...we went non-stop from 6:45 this morning till I put the boys to bed about 30 minutes ago.  It was a crazy day!  So stay tuned, I haven't forgotten about Disney World from March or the Circus we went to before CT...it will all come soon enough.  But before I forget I want to do some journaling...

  • About a week ago, the kids were sitting around and hanging out, chatting.  I overheard them talking about their favorite words and Tracen piped up and said, "My favorite word is Tracen....T-R-A-C-E-N...it's the best word ever!"  I love his innocence and confidence!

  • Also about a week ago: It was the end of the night and the boys had been playing outside ALL day!  They are much like their mama (and grandma's) and don't like to wear shoes...just run around barefoot....you can imagine how dirty their feet are...  So I sent them upstairs to brush their teeth, just like usual and I was picking up the kitchen.  After about 10 minutes, I could hear them giggling and I knew they were being silly...so I headed up to see what the heck they were up to...and sure enough...they were NOT brushing their teeth.  Logan was singing as he was BRUSHING HIS DIRTY DIRTY FOOT with his TOOTHBRUSH!  "Brushing my feet....brushing my feet!"  What?  I pretty much lost it.  It was the end of the line for me...after a day of crazy silly things, I had had enough...good thing Chris was around...he is always more patient than I am.  But now looking back, I can laugh about it...it really was a good idea to clean his feeet...just with his toothbrush?  As a side note, I washed their feet in the sink to finish the job...Ahh...boys will be boys!

  • Poor little Logan has been a bit nervous lately.  He is afraid of EVERYTHING or he is saying that he is afraid of EVERYTHING.  Afraid to be in a room alone, afraid to go to bed, afraid to go to the bathroom without someone standing by the door?  So in order to combat this frightened stage, he wanted to buy a flashlight.  So now he sleeps with his flashlight and carries it where ever he goes...it makes him have super powers...or so he thinks...it makes him BRAVE.

  • A few weeks ago we babysat our friend's baby...well she is a little over one.  The boys were so excited to have her around.  That sweet baby got 2 little boys' attention for over 2 and 1/2 hours.  They thought it was so fun to have her around.  Maybe one day they will be blessed with a little sister...maybe...My boys can truly be sweet boys!
