Gettin' Crafty With It...

Nah. Nah. Nah. Nah. Nah nah nah....

One of our friends here in PA is Annie!  She is a sweet eight year old and the sister to our boys' friends Max & Ben.  She loves her American Girl doll and carries it with her EVERYWHERE.  So I had the brilliant idea to make her and her doll matching pajamas for her birthday!  I found this cute cute cute glitter fabric (and even got it 50% off)!
Cute PJs :)  and she loved them!

Also our sweet niece Morgan turned 8 this summer and got baptized!  I made her and Annie these cute CTR baptism towels using this tutorial.  They turned out decent...but were a pain in my BUM!  But I have to start somewhere...so here is one of them.  I forgot to take a picture of the other one...bummer :(
Silhouettes!
Can you tell who's who?

One of the projects on my "to-do" list once we got here was to make silhouettes of the boys.  I love this look!  They will eventually hang in the front room once I get everything else on the wall.  So today was the day!

I got all my "chores" done yesterday for the rest of the week (I was bit over motivated) and decided to tackle this project.  I frequently visit 6thStreet Design School (Kristen is actually the wife of one of Chris' friends, Josh) and she made something similar so I modified her instructions...but basically used her tutorial.  I began by making the boys POSE so I could get a pic of their profile...then I printed them off and cut them off...trying to get as much detail as possible.  Finally, I taped them to the back of some cool black card stock scrap booking paper and cut them out.  I found the super cute green and blue background paper at Michael's and already had the frames.  So here they are  :)  What do you think?

I love the silhouettes. The pattern behind each one is a great idea.
