Pumpkin Patch

My boys are the luckiest ever. Because of the location of Manogue, the boys go to the pumpkin patch about once a day...literally. It is so much fun for them to go with their buddies at school! So here are some pics of my handsome men and Tracen's woman =D

Quinn, Jacob (Tracen's partner in crime-green pants), Henry, Tracen
I WANT TO EAT THE PUMPKINS!
Logan and Henry
This is the little lady, Alyssa.  Tracen loves her, he is always saying, "Bye 'lyssa!" or "I play with "lyssa"

Is this all you got?

Oh and I got my hair cut, by none other than my new stylist....C.K.Karrasch NO JOKE!  He did an amazing job.  I guess if med-school doesn't work out, he will have to go into the styling business!

I HATE SUNSHINE!!!

So I don't really hate sunshine, but this about sums up how I am feeling. We are almost settled in our new place and school is just as hectic as ever. So we thought we would relax a bit this weekend in our hot tub. On Friday night, it was really cool because it was snowing outside while we were in there hanging out. Saturday was fun too! Amanda and Chad joined us on our road-for-relaxation. However, someone doesn't like ME! I woke up Sunday morning looking much like Madam Mim after Merlin curses her with a disease...that's right, I have nasty mosquito bite-looking sores all over my chest, back and now they have decided to creep down my arms. No fun! I itch, hurt, and just plain look UGLY! What's up with that? All I really wanted was a little relaxation and I got a big frustration!

We also got to go to TIME OUT FOR COUPLES on Friday night which was so much fun! Sometimes you need a spiritual rejuvenation to let you know that you are doing okay and are going to make it. If you have never been to one, I highly encourage you check it out.

What have we been up to?! Baseball! Happy Birthday! & Happy half-Birthday!

A QUICK UPDATE:
Two weekends ago, Tracen discovered the joys of playing catch with a glove.  Uncle Chad and he played all afternoon together and he loved it!  We should probably get him a glove that fits a little better, don't you think?

We moved two weeks ago to a new place.  We really like it, but are still a bit cluttered.  It has been a hard move just for the fact that we are so busy with school and work.  Chris has been studying hard for the past few weeks for his never-ending series of tests while hitting up his preceptorship with Dr. Carusso, an endocrinologist.  I have been overloaded with papers to grade, lessons to prepare and babies to keep happy.

Friday, Oct 3rd, Chris celebrated his 27th birthday!  OLD!!! I know =o)  Of course, he had to study, so I crashed the study party with pizza, soda and cake for all.  It was fun!  I was just sad that we didn't get to have a big party.
SO HERE'S TO YOU STUD MUFFIN

QUIRKY ME!

So, yes, I am super busy, but never too busy to write on my blog!  So here goes...thanks Lindsay!

1.  When I was little, my mom used to give us macaroni and cheese with applesauce.  Now that I am older, I don't like macaroni and cheese, but if I do eat it, I have to have applesauce with it and I mix it all together.  Yes...you read it right, I stir the mac and cheese and applesauce together!  It is the only way to eat the nasty stuff =D

2.  I hate wearing normal shoes.  I like to wear high heels always.  It is very rare when I wear flats.  I tell Chris that it is because I like the way I feel when I am taller.  It makes me feel "sexy!"  However, I will wear flip-flops in the summer.  I LOVE THEM!

3.  I HATE! HATE! HATE! the sound of cracking knuckles, backs, necks, etc.  It totally makes me cringe.  It is awful!  And funny thing, I married the main man of the cracking back and neck.  Not a good thing!

4.  I absolutely love to teach high school students, but if you ask me to stand in front of a group of my peers or people older than I am, I freak out!  I hate it!  Explain that one???

5.  I break into song at every opportunity.  I sing when I wake up the boys, I sing as I am changing diapers, giving baths.  You name it, and I will start singing a song about it.  At school, if the kids say something that reminds me of a song, I will sing it!   I love music and it makes me happy.  I think that I drive Chris nuts!  I really could live the life of a musical and I would be in heaven!  NERD!!!  But, I do have to say that my nutty-ness has rubbed off on Chris because he too has started singing the "wake-up" song.

6.  I tend to interupt/finish people's sentences because I get so excited to talk to people my own age.  It is really annoying...I do it to Christin all of the time...sorry Christin.  I am working on keeping my mouth shut and listening.  I really just like to talk =b

The rules:  list 6 quirky things about your self and then tag 6 people
1.  Christin
2. Amanda
3. Meagan
4. Megan (I don't think I have tagged you..ever :(
5. Angie
6. Kristen

Where we YOU when the world stopped turning?

I saw that Sheri posted about this on her blog and I loved the idea.
7 years ago today...I was driving to work at The Before and After School Program at Virginia Palmer Elementary when I heard on the radio that there was chaos in Washington D.C. They never eluded to much, but I kept hoping they would say what was happening. Then, when I got to work all of the parents were upset and started to fill me in. Though I wasn't in D.C., nor did I know anyone who lived there, I went numb. I was terrified..."what if they decide to attack the west coast next?" was all that I could think about. I went through the day in a daze and the hardest part was trying to keep the kids that I supervised calm because they didn't quite understand what was happening.
As I thought about all that was happening, I was reminded of the CES fireside on Sunday, September 9, 2001 given by President Hinckley, that I had attended. I remebered him speaking about how our future world and our own individual futures, though faced with tragedy and trials, would be ok. WOW! Amazing to me that maybe he didn't know what was going to happen on ly 2 days later, but he was definitely inspired to speak to the college-aged youth. I love that man deeply and I know that he truly was a prophet of God. I invite you to read that talk he gave if you have time. (Click on the picture to view the talk that he gave)
So the question I pose to anyone who wants to share...Where were YOU when the world stopped turning on that September day?
