Where we YOU when the world stopped turning?

I saw that Sheri posted about this on her blog and I loved the idea.
7 years ago today...I was driving to work at The Before and After School Program at Virginia Palmer Elementary when I heard on the radio that there was chaos in Washington D.C. They never eluded to much, but I kept hoping they would say what was happening. Then, when I got to work all of the parents were upset and started to fill me in. Though I wasn't in D.C., nor did I know anyone who lived there, I went numb. I was terrified..."what if they decide to attack the west coast next?" was all that I could think about. I went through the day in a daze and the hardest part was trying to keep the kids that I supervised calm because they didn't quite understand what was happening.
As I thought about all that was happening, I was reminded of the CES fireside on Sunday, September 9, 2001 given by President Hinckley, that I had attended. I remebered him speaking about how our future world and our own individual futures, though faced with tragedy and trials, would be ok. WOW! Amazing to me that maybe he didn't know what was going to happen on ly 2 days later, but he was definitely inspired to speak to the college-aged youth. I love that man deeply and I know that he truly was a prophet of God. I invite you to read that talk he gave if you have time. (Click on the picture to view the talk that he gave)
So the question I pose to anyone who wants to share...Where were YOU when the world stopped turning on that September day?

That is neat. We watched the re- broadcast of that terrifying day yesterday. No my anniversary is on the 16th. I need to check up on the Dasi-path and see what is wrong with it. Thanks for the offer but Andrea is already watching her. Yes we need to hang out.

Wasn't that a crazy day? I will always have those memories etched into my mind. And thank goodness for a prophet who leads, so we can go through life without fear of what the future holds. We are always being watched over.
