Favorite Things

Back in APRIL...the 26th to be exact, my friend Jana and I through the most awesome party (not to toot our own horns or anything)! It was a Favorite Things party and it was so fun! Our turn-out was amazing and it was fun to see what people brought for 5 bucks! I took a ton of pictures...but I desperately need a new camera...so the quality isn't so great...Everyone brought 5 of one of their favorite things and a favorite appetizer or dessert!  We had tons of food and tons of fun!  It was a great night of favorites!
Our invitation...it's hard to see here...this is a scanned copy and definitely doesn't give it justice...they were pretty cute.   Behind the details of the party were the lyrics from the song...

"Raindrops on Roses and Whiskers on Kittens,
Bright Copper Kettles and Warm Woolen Mittens..."

You get he idea.

We had two tables for "Favorite Things" and it still was crowded...I wish I would have gotten a picture of the completed tables...but heh...it's what I got.  We also made everyone bags to put their goodies in.

For my favorite thing, I brought the ingredients and recipe for Pina Coladas...one of mine and Chris' favorite summer drinks (but watch out for the calories).  $5 is hard to work with...so this worked, I actually went a bit over because I wanted to include a festive glass too...they turned out pretty cute.

Me and my friend Jana before the party started :)  She was the hostess...since my house couldn't hold the number of ladies that attended.
Lots and lots of food!  Delish!

Some of our favorite things.  I made everyone take a picture as they presented their favorite :)

Finally the people...

The tall ladies 5'7 and above (I think most are above)

The pregnant ladies :)

Our awesome group of Ladies!  Such a fun night!

Ready! Get Set! RACE!

We were at it again! Tracen turned 6 on May 5th!  Tracen chose to go "to the place where you can have ice cream with your dinner"  aka Friendly's!  They even sang to him and gave him a balloon.  He was so excited!
We were in Danville, Pa on Tracen's actual birthday, where I ran my second 1/2 marathon (post to follow soon) So we had his birthday party today and it was a HUGE SUCCESS.   Tracen is really into cars and racing...so we had a RACE PARTY.  The kids did 5 different races 1: Fun Run (Obstacle Course)  2:  Donut Falls (Rolling Hula Hoops)  3:  Dreamville Hops (Pillow case race)  4:  Timed Race on the Karrasch Track (Tracen got a time of 14.9 seconds...the second fasted time!)  5:  Volcano Mountain Race (Hot Wheel race)  Followed by an ice cream bar and cupcakes.  I think Tracen had a great day!  It was a lot of fun!  But I am wiped out after all of these parties!

Thanks to all of our friends for making today such a fun party!

Super 4th Birthday

I am so so so far behind....especially since today is MAY 1. I can't even believe it. Where did the time go? Well, I wanted to get Logan's birthday blogged first...Disney World will come soon...there are so many pictures...it will take a while.

Logan Bear turned 4 on April 5th!  All day was dedicated to little Logie.  We played, had a McDonald's picnic in the park, opened presents and went out to dinner.  Logan picked Friendly's.  I didn't take a ton of pictures (what is wrong with me?) so this is the best we've got :)

Chris helped me throw a "super" party for Logan.  We had 18 kids come and play at our house for 3 hours....yes, I just said 18!  It was a bit insane.  We played bingo...had an awesome obstacle course (created entirely by Chris), and a super hero mission to save the party from Dr. Doom.  Again, my picture skillz were lacking...but with 18 kids, can you really blame me :)

Logan and his birthday treat table

You can't be a super hero without a super hero cape and mask....yes sir!  I sewed stinkin' 18 capes and masks.  But it was fun :)  And of course we put them in alphabetical order!  Ha!
Captain America Kabobs
Hulk Smash Jigglers
Iron Man Fire Balls

Happy Birthday Logan!  Thanks to all of our buddies for coming :)
