MegaMind Movie Night

I have wanted to have a PJ party for a long time so I figured this would be the best time. A lot of our new friends here in PA have boys and so we sent out invites and had a MegaMind movie PJ party! We ended up having 9 kids (5 and under) and it was a blast! It was so much fun and the boys were so excited to have their "friends" come to our house to watch a movie!
Here is our Movie treat table...we had Mega Juice, Invisible Rings, Mini Minions, Brainbots, MegaMind Cupcakes and Metro City Popcorn! Chris was such a sport and made me a Metro City background! SWEET!

These are my favorite :)

Here are some of the buddies...two more kids came (Sarah--only girl :( and Caleb) a little later)
For dinner we had scrambled eggs, blue pancakes with whip cream, sausages and apples! YUMMY!
Buddies
Before and After dinner the kids played with balloons and in the bounce house. It wasn't quite sturdy enough to handle all of them at the same time...but they liked it anyways :)

Are you ready for some CUPCAKES?!?!?!?!

Here is a quick glimpse @ most of our buddies and their MegaMind faces :)
Max (5)
Luke (4)
Tate (4)
Ben (3)
Tracen (5)
Beau (18 mo)
Logan (3)
Getting ready for the movie
Overall it was a super fun night! The kids watched the movie great and even helped clean up the treats when it was done. I think we will have to do another movie night in October :) FUN FUN FUN!

HeRsHeY pArK!

Some of our friends were getting Hershey Park Passes at the beginning of the month and when I looked it up...it seemed like a good deal. They do a lot with the holiday...Hershey in the Dark @ Halloween and Candy Lane @ Christmas time...plus they are open through September on the weekends...AND bonus we got passes that extend through next year. So we have been heading out and experiencing Hershey Park a couple of times per seek. We usually go for about 3 - 4 hours at a time...just enough to ride a lot of rides but not get to the point of frustration and tears....it is PERFECT! And with Chris working so much sometimes we head out in the late afternoon after naps before Chris gets home...and we LOVE it! It is so fun for me to watch the boys get so excited. They are starting to get their favorite rides that we make sure to hit up. We haven't hit all of the fun yet but hopefully we will soon. I need to find a day (when it isn't going to rain) to hit up the Water Park! I have heard it is AMAZING! For my Reno/Sparks readers...it is like Wild Waters...but better! Cool Right?

So to go on the rides you have to measure and find out what CANDY BAR you are...Logan is a Kiss and Tracen is a Reese's...I am a JOLLY RANCHER...but I don't ride many rides considering that some one has to watch the boys...right? :)

Here are some pictures from our first adventure at the Park...we went with our friends, Kasey and her kids Sarah and Grant! I have many more Hershey Park adventure pictures to share at some point...but here is a sneak peak into the 2nd most magical place on earth!

This ride and specifically the motorcycles are a FAVORITE!

We love the kid-size pirate ship!

And of course the swings!

Hair Cutz...

Seriously????

Last week, Chris got to come home for a quick lunch break. We were eating on the "main floor" and the boys were playing in the basement. The next thing we know...they came up and told us that they had given themselves haircuts just like daddy....UM??? I thought only girls did silly things like this.....

BOOOOO!!!!

Needless to say, Chris had to head back to work so chalk it up for another "Mommy first"....I had to cut their hair...and all I know how to do is a buzz...well all I thought I could attempt to do. Remember that this is my first experience with the boys and haircuts...and let me tell you...it was no easy task. There was A LOT of tears, frustration (from all parties) and hair on the ground. I HOPE they learned their lesson because
A: Momma doesn't do haircuts as good as Dad
B: Mom is definitely NOT as patient :(
Enjoy!

Check out the butch jobs!

All the way to the scalp!

I HATE THIS :)

Well...you get the picture...not pretty and didn't stay around to take pictures of Tracen...he was too MAD. Oh the life :)

I Love to See the Temple

For FHE the other night we talked about temples. In the April 2011 General Conference, President Monson suggested that we have a picture of the temple in every room of our homes...so I decided to start with the boys' room. So for FHE we made our own temple pictures...kid style!

Here are the finished products: True Story #1: I asked Tracen to pick which Temple he wanted to make to put in his room and he said, "The Salt Lake City Temple, MOM!" ( a bit snotty as if I should have known) and I asked, why buddy (thinking he would say because it is where Chris and I got married...) but he replied, "Because that is where Grandma Maree lives and I miss her." Cute! For not being a cuddly buddy he sure surprises me with his emotional responses to things at times :)
Tracen's: Salt Lake City Temple

True Story (2): I used this site to help us with our quest...so I had Logan come over to pick which picture of the temple that he liked best...and he just picked...I didn't say anything I just said, which one do you like best. So what is so Ironic you say????
Logan's Temple: Logan, UT Temple (ha ha!)

I told him after what the name of the temple is that he chose and he thinks it is the best thing ever! So cute!!!

THE MAKING PROCESS!

PAINTING!

I finished the rest with modge podge and a few sealing coats....

So our treat? We made ice cream in a bag and it was pretty good. We had to shake the bags for 5 minutes...so I think the boys lasted 5 seconds...needless to say, I got my second work out for the day...

Shake...shake...shake!

Our ice creams....Tracen- Vanilla with chocolate sauce (red), Logan-Vanilla with oreos (yellow), Sara-Vanilla with peanut butter cups (blue) Now take a BITE

YUMMY! I know you love this hideous picture!

We are MEMBERS!

...of the Hummelstown Pool Club..it's really nothing too exciting...but that's how they do things out here...you have to be a member or you can't go! Weird! But Chris and I took the boys a couple of weekends ago and had a blast. They love to swim under water these days and Logan thinks the "baby" pool is the best thing to happen!

The SLIDE!!!

Look how tall it is!

And he is a bit freaked out!

Swimmer!
