April Highlights 2011

This is a little backwards...but so it goes :)

Here is a cute pic of the boys that we sent to old man Kenton who turned "really old" in April :) Happy Birthday Kent!

The Easter bunny was good to us and we had a great day going to church, decorating eggs and spending time with friends and family. The boys even got some snazzy outfits!

Handsome DUDES!
The loot...pirate shields, candy a movie each and kites! FUN!

Ahh! Brotherly love!

This is Logan's work...he loves to take pictures and so we let him take one of us...not the most flattering, but hey! If you ever wanted to know what we look like unshowered and SEXY...here you go!

One of my favorite things to do with Tracen is to bake and we have been doing A LOT of baking! Here we are at our finest!

LOGIE TURNED 3

This is backwards too...but ohwell! We actually had 2 b-day parties for Logan. One was pirates and the other was soccer. Logan loved both of his cakes. I can't believe my little man is already 3!

Where Has the Time Gone: March 2011

March was our busiest Month yet! And everything happened within about a 2 week span! First, but definitely not least was....
MATCH DAY!!! It was on March 17th @ 9am. This is the day that we found out where we were going to be headed for the next 5 years....it was a little bit nerve-wrecking, but exciting!
Here is Chris with Leprechaun Orthopedic

Los Tres Amigos (Stew, Chad and Chris)

Sad day...my sister and her husband will be about 16 hours away from us in Rochester, MN. They have been our best friends through medical school and we will sure miss them :(

Here is the lucky shamrock that held our destination....and it is...(in case you didn't know)

Penn State Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania

The next big event was my Faculty Musical at School...this year, my friend, Kelly and I wrote a play called "Put on Your Kicks, Prom '86." All about a high school getting ready for prom in the 80's...it included tons of fun music from Mama Mia, Wicked, Oklahoma, Annie and Jersey Boys!

Here is me and Merla (or Kelly) My name in the show was Brittany Snoodee (I was such a brat) and Kelly was Merla Omanerd...a new girl at school and I was NOT nice to her.

Here we are in our Prom get ups! The dress I am wearing is one my mom made for my sister when she was in high school....crazy!

Me and Marissa

Me and my two favorite nerds :)
Merla and the nerds...they were so silly!

The cast...over 30 teachers and staff participated this year...it was so much fun! We were all grouped into a specific clique...the Jocks/Preps, Cheerleaders, Hicks, Nerds, BFFs and Teachers! There was even a little teacher romance involved...

And here we are ready for Prom...hideous...a bit, but lots of fun memories :) With this even nearly 1500 people came to support and we raised $25,000 dollars. It was amazing! I am really going to miss this part of my job. Who knows, maybe I can find some community theater to join back east?

The week after the play, Chris flew out to Hershey and bought us this house! I love, love, love it! We close on May 13th and Chris leave the 23rd of May to move us in.

And that is March in a nutshell!

Where Has the Time Gone: February 2011

February highlights: We watched A LOT of high school basketball! Then we celebrated valentine's day with an Ice Cream cake from Dairy Queen...my absolute Favorite :)

February I also tackled my "craft closet"...it went from THIS :(
To this! And I am proud to say that it still looks QUITE AMAZING! (You're Welcome Chris)
Logie learned the art of tatoos and decided that he was ready to wear BIG BOY UNDERWEAR!!! YES!
Tracen had his first real Mohawk...and it was stylin!
What a handsome dude!
We got lots of snow and decided to build a snow man...or actually, make daddy build a snowman!

And here is the final product!
We also made snow angels!.....LOGAN ANGEL
TRACEN ANGEL

Where Has the Time Gone: December 2010 - January 2011

January was a bit uneventful...I don't even know if I remember what happened! AHH!! At the beginning of the year we moved the boys into bunk beds and they love love love them ...even still...
December 30th I turned 28 (barf!) and my cousin had her rehearsal dinner....
That that is sexy...
So she made me a cake...I think I'm a super big DORK!
Amanda, Jessica and Me...oh did I mention they are BOTH PREGNANT...but no, not me :)
Seriously Chris...that's the best you can do???? (he he!)
Some of the fam! (Aunt Rene, Fred, Gary, Chad, Amanda, Chris, Me, Grandpa and Grandma Lou)

Mostly in January we played and played and played! And Daddy worked on his mean monster face :)

A Homemade Christmas

Well....kindof
We tried to stay low budget this year with Christmas...and so we decided that we would make each other Christmas gifts and make something for the boys as well. We were good at sticking to this idea for each other, but Santa got a little excited with the boys. But here is what we did:
For Grandma Maree and Grandma Debbie we made photo blocks using our family pictures we had taken in October. I loved them and am going to make one for myself very soon!

For the boys: Chris made this AMAZING super hero bean bag toss. We used pictures and modpodged them onto the painted wood and staple gunned netting to the back. I made batman bean bags! It was a real hit!

Mommy made these tins of letters...more of a learning activity, but still fun :)

For Chris I made him a rubiks cube using our pictures. He loves these puzzles and I found an oversized one so the pictures would be really cool looking. I gave it to him mixed up and he still hasn't solved it yet...so hopefully it will get back to its original form!

And for me....I bet you didn't know that one of Chris' many talents is that he can draw and he draws pictures of the Savior! I absolutely love this. I am going to get it framed this week! It's absolutely AMAZING! Thanks Chris!!!

Awaiting Angel (by Chris Karrasch)

So while Santa still went a lottle crazy...it was really fun to think about what we would make not only the kids, but each other. I think it is a new tradition that we will do every year! It was so fun! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
