For Daddy

Its been a long time since I updated...so here goes! First of all, my computer ate my pictures that I tood ok Logan when we had a little party with my family on easter...so I am SUPER bummed about that. We have just been counting down the weeks until we get to have our Daddy home again! We miss him so much, but know that he is doing good things in Vegas! Chris gets home on June 25th and we CAN'T wait, but he will be leaving us again for the month of August to go to Hershey, PA to do a rotation in orthopedics at Penn State. Then we are hoping he will be gon e in September in Cinncinatti to do the same thing. So by October we should have him home! Only 7 more weekends! YAY!!!!
This week I took the boys to the doctor for their annual check-ups and here are the results:
Tracen: 4 years old
Weight: 34 lbs (32%)
Height: 39.75 inches (35%)
Pretty much he is skinny and a little short
Logan: 25 months
Weight: 30 lbs 14 oz (88%)
Height: 35.5 inches (80%)
This one surprised me...I knew he was big, but I figured he was a lot bigger. He is just super tall and a little CHUNKY :)
So here are some pictures for you to enjoy...mostly their so Chris can see the boys and that is why there are so DANG many of them!!!

My little (or should I say big?) couch potatoe

What?

Logan has taken to falling asleep in random places. I found him here when I came down to get him to come eat his dinner. Poor guy :(

Tracen turned 4 on May 5!!! I can't believe he is 4! He got Toy Story Yahtzee from Mom and Dad and LOVES it! He is really cute when he smiles...too bad it is VERY RARE to catch him looking so adorable!

The "Moder-lawn" from Cars

We also got him Buzz Lightyear wings...

Tonight we had a little b-day party for Tracen. I ATTEMPTED to make a treasure chest for a pirate party! Our party favors were swords and they were a hit! I better stick to my day job because cake making isn't my best talent :)

A Trip to SLC

This past weekend I packed up the boys and we headed to SLC for Tyson's baby blessing! We had so much fun: We got to hang out with our cousins, Miles and Tyson, go to the zoo with Grandma Maree and just enjoy some time away from our everyday life.

Logan and Miles getting ready for the train ride...we made a tactical error and went on the train to begin our day. Needless to say...Logan was a MESS the rest of the time we were there because he only wanted to go on the train!

Tracen and Grandma...he really isn't very good at taking pictures!

Logan with the elephant!

Best Friends! Logan and Miles!!!

I personally love the tigers and they have 4 now!

We got a babysitter and went on a "date" I had to go stag....We had a yummy dinner at a Japanese restaurant! It was super fun!
We got a little domestic and decided to craft...it turned out really cute!!!

Happy Easter 2010

Happy Easter from our family to yours! I took a TON of pictures this morning..44 to be exact and this was the best we got...the two of Chris and me were taken by Tracen. Not too bad for his first attempt with the camera! We hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend!

New and Improved!

I was very hesitant in getting Logan into a "big-boy-bed," but Chris thought it was time...and you can't believe the reaction! He was so excited! Who would have known that taking off the rail would be such a liberating thing for him! He is SO excited!

These are just for fun...I am going to be SOOO wrinkly as an old woman!

Play Preview

So I don't have a ton of pictures yet...but my play is over! Musical madness has come to and end. I am a bit sad, but also super happy it is over. It doesn't feel like the show really happened yet. We were able to raise over $18,000 in ticket sales and donations and more money keeps coming in. One parent even told our office "this is the best thing that Manogue has done in years!" Well...that made me feel good =) We ended up having over 950 people come to our event. When we first planned it we figured we would be happy if we got 400...so I guess we did pretty good!

The cast! Friday night after looking at these pictures, I decided that I HATED the wig I was supposed to wear, so I dyed my hair brown for the show. I haven't quite decided if I like or dislike it....but its not bad.

Us during the show...GOOD MORNING BALTIMORE!

Me and my friend Bri

Tammy...the most convincing bum you will ever meet! They were able to make over $300 dancing for people before the show started!
Mary...she was a flasher, but before the show they walked around freaking everyone out by writing notes and being spies! SO fun!

Me and grandma...she didn't know who I was when she first walked in. I don't know if it was the extra poundage or the dark hair that threw her.
Kelly, Erin and Me! I didn't get really any pictures of us all in costume which is ANNOYING! It was too crazy...but hopefully other people did so we can get more updates!

a LONG week

We had an emotional...crazy week and I figured I should start documenting...not for you, but rather for me and for Chris. With two weeks until show time I am a bit crazy as it is and on top of that I have midterms starting on the 18th...so school is a bit hectic as well.

With Chris leaving on the 14th after spending the weekend with us, Logan had a really hard time. I figured that he was just having separation anxiety due to the fact that he didn't want to leave my side and kept asking "Where Daddy go? Why Daddy in Vegas?" Needless to say we were up until 4:30 when I finally brought him to bed with me, turned on a movie and he zonked. That was just the beginning of a fun week! I kept him home Monday and then he started coughing so I had my mom watch him on Tuesday. When I picked him up, he felt warm. That night when I put him to bed, he still was a little warm and so I gave him Tyenol and set to doing my work. Around 11:30 I went in to check on him and he was BURNING up! I took his temp.....104 degrees! It freaked me out, I called Chris and he told me to wait til the morning and take him in to the doctor. We went the next day only for the doctor to tell me that we needed to go take Chest x-rays! It was the saddest thing...he cried and cried and I had to hold his arms above his head as he look at me like, "what are you doing to me, mom?"
This obviously isn't him...but that's what the thing looks like and Logan is quite a bit chunkier than this boy so his poor little belly was squished by the plastic around his abdomen! Sad day! Needless to say...he is fine and everything came out alright...but that was SUPER Stress#1!

A few months back, Chris' step mom gave us a run-down van that we fixed up and have been driving. Well in the past few weeks I have noticed different things about it. When Chris came home last weekend and felt the way it was driving he was nervous and we decided that we were going to start looking for a used car that would get us through residency, but would be more reliable than the van. We have been saving and we decided we didn't want a car payment and would pay cash. I was ALWAYS researching different cars and prices...then I got a great idea to search in Vegan and needless to say, things are a bit cheaper down there. I would always send Chris different cars to look at, but we never pursued any of them.

Well, this weekend I found a couple and Chris had a free Saturday so I told him that he should go check them out. Well...they didn't end up having the ones I had originally liked, but Chris found a 2001 Mitsubishi Monterro and really liked it. He called said he thought he could get them to drop the price for us and that he really liked it. I did a bunch of research...car fax, consumer reviews, we called Chris' cousins that own the same car, but an older version. And we decided to go for it. I insisted that Chris have a mechanic check out the car, but being in Vegas it was a bit of a hassle and the dealership showed Chris their recent inspection of the car with all of the paper work and it seemed to check out. After many hours of bartering Chris got us our car for a super good price...

The interior...it seats 7

Has a DVD player! YAY for long road trips!

Here it is!!!
Or so we thought....I convinced Chris to drive the car to Reno Saturday night even though he wouldn't get in til late. I did this mostly because I wanted to see him, but I played it off as I wanted the car. At about 12:30 I got a phone care and Chris told me..."Sara, I am in real trouble...I had a feeling that I needed to pull off in Tonopah and its a good thing because I am leaking oil BAD!" GREAT!!!! SUPER Stressor #2
So sweet Chris had to stay in the NASTIEST run-down hotel Saturday night and we ended up towing the car to RENO 250 miles! Uggggh! So much for a good deal. We don't know what is going to happen at this point, but I am praying that it is just a little issue that will be resolved and we can put this all behind us.
I normally don't like to talk about things like this, however I feel like we did everything right! Surprisingly, I have been super calm through the whole ordeal and I just feel like it is all going to work itself out and we will love the car! I got to go see it today and I think it is SUPER CUTE!!!! Chris says it reminds him of me and knew that I would LOVE it and he loves it becasue it is 100 times better than the van and is super comfortable.
So that is my life in a nutshell...it has been the LONGEST week ever! So here's to hoping that this next week...though crazy.... works out in all aspects! And I will actually get to see and spend time with Chris this time! He is amazing!!!
