The Logan-miester is 4 months old!

I am a bit behind the times, but I wanted to be able to give an update on the ever growing Logan-miester. He turned 4 months last Tuesday on the 5th of August. So fun things that happened..he rolled over for the very first time! For a while he wouldn't perform again, but today he has let go and his performing is better than ever. At the doctor's office we learned that Logan is 26 1/2 inches long and 16 lbs 11 oz. He definitely isn't little.  We also started feeding him mush and he loved it.  He didn't even push it out with his tongue.  Funny kid, I think that he was born to eat, because he definitely does it very well!

Now it is over because the bath-baby sings!

The Hogle Zoo and Bear Lake (Sorry...it's very long!)

I will begin by apologizing for this super long post, but we have been out of town for the past 8 days and we had so much fun!  We took oodles of pictures so I tried to narrow down a few that we wanted to share.  We drove Sunday night out to Salt Lake and it was actually a pretty enjoyable ride.  Then Monday, we got to go to the Hogle Zoo and it was a blast!  Tracen absolutely was enthralled by all of the animals and couldn't get enough of them.  Then on Tuesday, we headed up to Bear Lake, where Chris' family owns a cabin right on the lake.  The water wasn't the best, but Tracen did get a tube ride with Daddy and Chris got in some skiing and knee boarding.  While we were there, one of my teeth that I have been neglecting for the past year started throbbing, I was in so much pain, but luckily I had a perscription for Lortab...bad idea #1. When I took it, I felt like I was spinning and could hardly keep down any food!  Not so fun!  Ohwell, we had an enjoyable time, especially when my tooth was throbbing with piercing pain!

The crew at the zoo in front of the fun train (choo! choo!)

The tiger decided to grace us with his presence and take a swim. It was amazing to see him up so close!
The leopard was agitated at all the people watching him.  He kept pacing around.  Tracen thought he was cool, but doesn't he look like he is ready to eat him up?
GRRR...Mom and Tracen on the Merry-Go-Round.
Welcome to bear lake.  Many years ago the water at bear lake was much higher and it came right up to the cabin.  Now, there is about 100 yds of reeds from the cabin to the lake.
But Tracen sure enjoyed the dock!
Tracen's first tube ride with Daddy!
What cool dudes!
Chris' skiing skills!
Tuckered-out-Tracen, and a nauseated Mommy!
Chris can't just knee board, he has to throw a flip or two.
The fish (carp) in the Bear Lake marina love to suck your toes.  We went and fed the fish with cousin Lisa almost everyday.
The cousins.

Idaho road trip!

We had our very first road trip with BOTH boys this weekend.  It was very short..we left on Friday morning and came home today, but it was fun none the less.  Amanda's hubby, Chad, is from hick-vill (Murtaugh) and so we went down for their reception.  It was a lot of fun for me to go back to Idaho.  As a kid, I went to Declo (pop. 338) every summer for a week and I have a lot of fun memories from there.  In the short time that we visited, we had a family bbq, took a memory drive through Declo, got to tour the Twin Falls temple, went to a reception where we visited with old friends (it was great to see you Meg!), went to the Snake River canyon and visited Chad's family dairy...
Tracen is out for the count...he is such a good boy on the road, he either sleeps or watches his "shows"!
Logan was awake a lot in the car, not a bad traveler, but definitely not easy. Maybe he'll get better with age : )
We got to visit the baby cows...this one we named "Otis" after our favorite character on "Barnyard."  The baby cows love to suck on your fingers, it is so weird feeling.  Their little tongues feel like sand paper.  Tracen wasn't loving the cows though.
Uncle chad took Tracen on a 4-wheeler ride!  We really got to experience the country.

Oh yes, and I also finished reading a book that I started on Thursday, a definite must for those of you who haven't read it...The Wednesday Letters by Jason Wright.
